Thought that I would lower my vantage point on this one. I really like how the hen's head breaks the horizon line in this one instead of looking down on her.
The blue of this hen is SO gorgeous! I love how it reads "white" without being white. And another thing I love about this painting is how subtle those cute little chicks are, hiding in the grass. Very, very nice!

This painting shows what I love about your paintings... all that warm and cool color dancing around next to each other! You're the best.

This is fantastic the way you've come down to hen height and the amazing blue of the shadows on her with the strong sunlight behind.
I love the shady hen with just a few spots of light, and the chicks are gorgeous. The whole painting works so beautifully.
Wonderful Frank. Love the colors in the grass and hills and I like that the little guy is back lit.
As always, this is a beautiful painting...the color, the height, the highlights...all of it!
Yes Yes Yes! The color of the hen is awesome!
I love it. those chicks are the perfect little spots of color. :)
Really love this one, Frank! The in and out of shadow lighting is wonderful!
Wonderful glowing violet shadow!
I enjoyed stopping by to see what you've been painting lately.
Beautiful subtle value/color modulation.
